Well, I saw this pic of the Emperor of Cantha, and all I could think was that it looked really familiar to Q in Star Trek. (Yes I should brand the word geek across my forehead).

wow i never realized that. i remember Q from star trek. when i was younger i used to watch it all the time w/ my dad and brother. dotn see it much now but Q pretty much ruled.

he did. Hes done bits in voyger and deep space nine (arg I didn’t like ds9). Plus he was in the very first nxt gen episode

I saw some of next generation and I don't remember him. But I only watched the show for 4-5 months or so.

there's two or three more whose names escape me. In one episode, he gives Riker the powers of the Q, and in another, he becomes human for an episode. Safe to say, every time I see him I plan for a witty discourse between him and one officer or another.

Oh, there was that godawful one where he brought the crew into a Robin-hood esque fantasy, but I do my best to push that stinker out of my mind.

BTW, G4TV just got the syndication rights, so there's plenty of TNG to go around. I think Spike shows it during the day as well. Q Who? was on just a few days ago. I haven't been watching much because they've been showing the Dr. Pulaski episodes. Ugh!
